Cal us to make the necessary repairs on your boiler. 4) Does your boiler have "anti freeze" in the system? if not, if your boiler burners were to fail, your rad pipes could freeze and burst as there would be no heat and no anti-freeze to prevent ice build-up. If not, one problem could be your boiler water pressure is to low. As a rule of thumb, 5 lbs of water pressure per floor will keep the boiler water pressure high enough to make sure the heated water gets to the right place. Careful not to exceed the pressure maximum for your relief valve. 6) Dirty boiler water will cause you major problems with controls through-out your heating system.
